In conformity with this request
Mr.
Johnston appointed his former Agent Arbitrator on his behalf, and, together with the Acting
Surveyor
General being unable
to
agree,
selected
an umpire,
the result of this arbitration was that the compensation for Mr.
Johnston's property was duly valued
at $9000.
